The Krewe of Orleans 2017 Reigning Emperor & Empress Sean & Sherelle Reed.

Sean and Sherelle Reed are natives of New Orleans, Louisiana who are true friends in LOVE!!! They have been married for 22 years and to that union were born 3 adult children–Sean Michael, Seanil Malik, and Seante Monique. Being parents is by far their GREATEST accomplishment as they strive to leave a legacy in the earth. The Reeds now reside in Frisco, TX as a result of Hurricane Katrina. It goes without saying that they are PROUD products of New Orleans.

Sean grew up in the Desire Housing Development in the 9th Ward. He is a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and he attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge.

Sherelle grew up in Imperial Drive/St. Bernard Housing Development/Voscoville area in the 7th Ward. She is a proud graduate of St Mary’s Academy. Sherelle attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA and received her bachelor’s degree from University of Phoenix.

Following college, Sean enlisted in the U.S. Army and served our country proud in the Persian Gulf War. As a result of this service, Sean was honorably discharged as a 100% disabled Veteran. Sean retired from the US Postal Service where he worked as a clerk and is presently a mentor to both children and young adults in the community. He volunteers as an official with the Richardson YMCA. Sean’s favorite slogan is: If you change your mind, you can change your life! This sentiment is echoed in everything he does and everything he stands for as he rose above the conditions in which he was raised knowing that if he put his mind to it he could become anything in this world.

Sherelle is a Corporate Instructor for Bank of America where she has worked for the past 11 years. Sherelle is also the Founder and Visionary of Resilience Entity, Inc. Resilience is a movement that empowers women and girls to Learn from the Past, Live Today and Pursue Purpose. Sherelle is no stranger to riding on this roller coaster we call life. She is fun, personable and loving with a personality that moves the hearts of many she comes in contact with. Making a positive impact in this world is why she has been created. Sherelle’s purpose is to empower others without judgment.

Sean and Sherelle Reed has dedicated themselves to living life to the fullest knowing that as long a GOD is at the center of it all……. EVERYTHING is worth it!!!

New York-raised Doug E. Fresh, born Douglas Davis, got his initial notoriety for being the original human beat-box, inventing a method to imitate a drum machine using breath control through the teeth, lips, and gums. He had a string of hit singles with his then-partner Slick Rick in the early and mid-1980s, most notably on “The Show” and “La-Di-Da-Di” in 1985. A subsequent album, “Oh, My God,” included guest stints from veteran jazz trumpeter Jimmy Owens and synthesizer player Bernard Wright. Fresh also released a 1988 follow-up album, “The World’s Greatest Entertainer,” and recorded an album in 1992 for M.C. Hammer’s short-lived Capitol/EMI Records-distributed label, Bust It Records. After recording another album for Gee Street Records in the mid-1990s and appearing on many other artists’ albums, Fresh disappeared for a few years. He has just resurfaced as a solo artist with a new release on a small independent label, but he remains an active force in hip-hop music, appearing as a guest artist on many records, to the present day.
