Michael & Donna Brousseau
35 years of Federal Government service, currently, a Policy Analyst, Donna has served in management and non-management positions for Social Security Administration in New Orleans, the DFW area, and the agency’s Baltimore headquarters.
Donna’s fondest memories in New Orleans were years working in Public Affairs, where she served her agency as a ambassador, and actively served and engaged the community.
She was usually visible in the business, media and social scenes. In addition, Donna was a fashion accessories entrepreneur, coorinated fashion shows, and enjoyed an exciting short stint as a movie critic columnist with Data News Weekly until Hurricane Katrina.
She was a former board member of Covenant House for homeless youth, the Council on Aging Mayor’s Elderly Advisory Council, mentor, trainer and supporter for a Christian youth mentoring organization and youth mentoring task force for Xavier University, former board member and royalty court member with carnival clubs, former debutante with the Original Illinois Club, former queen of Xavier DFW Alumni Club, and a host of other affiliations. A graduate of Xavier University and holds a Masters degree from Southern University of New Orleans.
Currently a self-employed federal government legal services contractor and City of Allen employee, Michael Brousseau retired as a Director of Probation, with the City of New Orleans Municipal Court. Michael’s fondest memories of New Orleans includes his board membership with Shakespeare Park, former coach of Carrollton Park Youth Sports, Junior Knights of Peter Cleaver, St Augustine Purple Knights, Saints season ticket holder, a respected mentor to young men in the community and continues to be to young males in his family. Michael is a graduate of St Augustine, studied at Grambling and a graduate of Southern University of New Orleans.
Our Royal Couple are new members of the Krewe of Orleans, members and supporters of the Collins County Black Chamber of Commerce, Collin County Democrats, The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Xavier and Southern University Alumni Associations, volunteers with City of Allen. They attend St Jude Catholic Church, in Allen, and former parishioners of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, in Uptown New Orleans.
They enjoy traveling, haven traveled as far as South Africa, several parts of Europe, Hawaii, Jamaica, and the Caribbean Islands.
Their best times are simple and almost always together. They look forward to their Friday date nights, following their favorite local band, Buster Brown Band, on weekends, planning and hosting weekend outings and parties wIth their closest group of loyal friends and family.
Our Royal Couple is certainly blessed to celebrate 34 years of marriage in May, 2016 and 40 years together. Their royal family consists of one adult daughter, Brittny, both of their mothers, and a host of siblings, relatives and friends.
In Dallas, Texas, but no doubt, they come with authentic, distinguished native New Orleans flavor, style, and charm, help the Krewe of Orleans welcome our Fisrt Royal Couple, Mr and Mrs Michael and Donna Brousseau.
