Krewe of Orléans
Krewe of Orleans was established in 2014 by a diverse group of Louisiana natives. The organization was formed with the purpose of bringing a unique culture to the DFW metroplex that is particularly familiar to those who relocated to Dallas from southern Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. The Krewe started its journey with the introduction of the well- known Krewe Of Orleans Mardi Gras Ball, which on its grandest scale, consistently delivers a heartbeat like no other to the city of Dallas.
Krewe of Orleans believes in giving back to the DFW that has given so much to those of us who now call Dallas/Ft Worth our home. Our community outreach helps us reach out and is a small way of saying Thank you! Catch us anywhere supporting civic activities in the community or doing volunteer services for the needy.
Krewe of Orleans has gained influence and great notoriety over the years and has been the inspiration to pave the way for the formation of other Mardi Gras units. The Krewe is proud to be the front runner in presenting Mardi Gras in its truest authenticity with deeply rooted traditions that span back several decades. Having formally introduced the tradition of the Mardi Gras Indians, New Orleans Brass Bands, Second Line Steppers Clubs and the Royal Court, we have successfully captured the Mardi Gras experience and transported it here to DFW.
